Ilse Schuit is a versatile (mezzo) soprano, currently in the final year of her BA in Classical Voice and Performance at Fontys Tilburg. She is guided in her studies by Sinan Vural and Margriet van Reisen. From 2013 to 2021, Ilse sang with Julia Zaytseva as her teacher. She has followed a masterclass by Claron McFadden.
Ilse has a strong passion for singing dramatic pieces and performing opera. Before beginning her music degree, Ilse completed a degree in English Language and Culture at the University of Groningen. She brings her love for language and literature into her career as a singer, where she combines these passions to enrich her performances.
